Council hears ideas on enhancing local business
SEBASTOPOL – City officials took the first steps Tuesday toward coming up with a coordinated plan to help local business economics with a view toward hopefully adding to the city’s tax revenues.
Since Sebastopol, like most local governments, doesn’t have the cash resources to stimulate regional economics by undertaking large scale infrastructure projects, for example, City Manager Dave Brennan suggested that cities like Sebastopol must come up with ideas to stimulate local businesses.

The Lions and Tigers wrapped up their respective league football campaigns on Friday, as the Lions fell to SCL champion Casa Grande, 45-7, while the Tigers dropped their fifth straight in a 42-7 drubbing at Windsor.
Despite the losing skid, Analy (5-5) was awarded the 12th-seed in the 15-team North Coast Section division-three playoff tournament, and will face fifth-seeded Marin Catholic this Saturday, Nov. 22 in Kentfield. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

Holiday soul with a crust
When we all gather with our families next week to celebrate Thanksgiving, we will share in the traditional turkey dinner. The broad themes of those meals will be the same, turkey, vegetables, cranberry sauce, but the specifics vary by home. Is the turkey fried or roasted? Cranberry sauce canned or fresh? Sweet potatoes with marshmallows or without?
Those variations will extend right though to dessert and while almost everyone has a pie, what type and how its procured are subject to change. In order to determine which pie makes for the perfect post-turkey treat, we made four types and solicited reaction from a variety of tasters. Our test pies were:
